Sinopec (Hong Kong) has launched the PIT Ultra Kowloon Bay Max 600kW station, the city's first site built by converting a former petrol forecourt entirely to EV charging infrastructure. The station features 20 DC fast-charging bays served by five units delivering up to 600kW each, with smart power allocation ensuring every vehicle charges at over 100kW even when all bays are occupied. Six bays use Huawei liquid-cooling technology for 800V-plus vehicles, enabling 20% to 80% charges in around 10 minutes, while eight bays offer both GB/T and CCS2 connectors for cross-border compatibility. The station opened on 31 August.
