1. About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of EVNews (the "Service"), operated by EVT Data Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17255478), registered office 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ ("we", "us", "our"). By using EVNews you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. What EVNews is
EVNews is a free service that gathers, classifies and summarises news and market signals about the electric vehicle sector from public sources, and links back to those sources. You can read everything on EVNews without an account. Our summaries are produced by an AI and human editorial process and are reviewed before publication.
3. No account, no charge
EVNews requires no registration and no payment. There is no login, no subscription and no paywall.
4. Our summaries are information, not advice
We take reasonable care to summarise sources accurately and to review items before they publish, but EVNews is a news and information service, not professional advice. Nothing on EVNews is investment, financial, legal or procurement advice, and you should not rely on it as such. Where a summary matters to a decision, follow the source link and verify against the original.
5. Third-party sources and links
EVNews summarises and links to content published by third parties. We do not control that content, we are not responsible for it, and a link is not an endorsement. The original articles, notices and data remain the property of their publishers; where a source sits behind a paywall or registration, its own terms apply when you follow the link.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; scrape, harvest or systematically extract the Service at scale or in a way that burdens our infrastructure; misrepresent EVNews content as your own; or attempt to disrupt, probe or gain unauthorised access to the Service.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, editorial summaries, classification, the entity-signal graph and the EVNews name and marks, belongs to us or our licensors. You may read, share and link to EVNews pages for personal and normal business use. You may not republish our summaries wholesale or build a competing product from them without our permission. Source material referenced on EVNews belongs to its respective publishers.
8. Accuracy and availability
While we take reasonable steps to keep EVNews accurate and available, we provide the Service "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or complete, and news moves fast: an item can be superseded after we publish it. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the Service at any time.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, EVT Data Ltd is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your reliance on EVNews content or on any third-party source we link to. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we do, this page changes and the date at the top moves. Continued use of EVNews after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
