Jamaica Public Service Company will provide free electric vehicle charging at all its Charge 'n Go stations for 24 hours on Emancipation Day (1 August) and Independence Day (6 August). JPS has partnered with ATL Automotive, Stewarts Automotive Group and Flash Motors since 2025 to offer new EV owners electricity bill discounts, alongside fuel cost savings of 30 to 50 per cent compared to traditional vehicles.
