Government leaders in California, British Columbia, Oregon, Washington and Baja California have created the British Columbia to Baja California ZEV Corridor (BC2BC), a charging network enabling electric trucks to travel from Vancouver to Baja California. The initial buildout will include 20 EV charging stations and 3 hydrogen fueling stations along the I-5 highway corridor, which carries an estimated 10,000 trucks daily. Volvo Group North America, Southern California Edison, Tesla, EV Realty and King Fio Trucking participated in the launch event at the Port of Long Beach in September 2026.
