The Energy Policy and Planning Office (Eppo) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Egat, the Metropolitan Electricity Authority, the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), and PTT Oil and Retail Business (OR) to create a Thailand EV Roaming Hub. The platform will connect data across charging networks, build a national database of station locations and real-time status, and help government agencies forecast electricity demand to avoid grid overloads. OR, Egat and PEA are already among Thailand's top five EV charging providers.

Standardised data on station availability and pricing addresses recurring app and payment failures that undermine driver confidence and network utilisation.
