France raises Advenir grants for shared building EV chargers by 56 percent from April
From 1 April, France's Advenir scheme will increase maximum grants for communal car park charging infrastructure from €8,000 to €12,500, a rise of 56 percent, targeting shared buildings in areas with few public chargers. Additional parking spaces will receive up to €125 per space, up from €75, while outdoor car park security funding rises from €5,000 to €8,000 for sites with up to 100 spaces. Private parking space owners in communal car parks can now access €1,000 in aid, up from €600.
Why it matters
The grant uplift makes multi dwelling unit charging projects more financially viable for property developers and charge point operators, particularly in underserved areas. Higher per space subsidies and security funding address cost barriers that have historically limited deployment in outdoor communal car parks.
