Leclerc cuts AC charging to €0.17 per kWh across 330 French stores, targeting 10,000 points by 2030
French supermarket chain E.Leclerc reduced its AC charging tariff to €0.17 per kilowatt hour from 5 October 2026 across 330 stores equipped with 22 kW chargers, with no subscription required. The Charge E-Lec network, operated by fuel subsidiary Siplec, now has more than 3,000 charge points and plans to reach 10,000 by 2030 backed by over €200 million in investment. The pricing positions Leclerc as the lowest cost supermarket charging operator in France.
Why it matters
The aggressive tariff undercuts rival grocery forecourt operators and signals intensifying price competition in the French destination charging market. Procurement teams evaluating retail partnerships or site hosts should note the scale of Leclerc's rollout ambition and the margin pressure its pricing may create across the AC segment.
