ChargeZone and Fresh Bus announced an expansion adding 400 electric buses to their partnership, growing the supported fleet from 100 to 500 buses. ChargeZone will deploy an additional 30 MW of charging capacity on top of the existing 10 MW, bringing total dedicated infrastructure to 40 MW across 20 cities and 17 towns in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana over the next 15 months. At full scale, the partnership is expected to deliver 100 million units of energy annually, support more than 20,000 passenger journeys daily and reduce CO₂ emissions by around 9,000 to 10,000 tonnes per year.

The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation inaugurated an electric vehicle charging station at its own headquarters in Pimpri Chinchwad, India, on 18 August 2026.
