UK public EV chargepoint network grows 23% in one year to 86,021 units
The UK added 15,979 public chargepoints between October 2024 and October 2025, bringing the total network to 86,021 devices, equivalent to one new charger every 33 minutes. The network now includes over 17,356 rapid and ultra-rapid chargers capable of charging to 80% in 20 to 40 minutes. The government is backing the sector with more than £381 million to deliver 100,000 additional chargers.
