UK on-street charger rollout adds 5,600 devices in 12 months under ORCS scheme

Public EV chargers installed through completed On-Street Residential Chargepoint Scheme (ORCS) projects in the UK rose 42.6% from 13,325 on 1 July 2025 to 19,001 on 1 July 2026, adding 5,676 devices, according to Department for Transport figures analysed by EV Cable Hub. The scheme supports local authorities in deploying charging infrastructure for residents without private off-street parking. Approved devices linked to incomplete ORCS projects fell from 7,847 to 1,825 over the same period.
