ACMobility builds public transport charging hubs with Basic Energy and Grab in Philippines

ACMobility, the Ayala Group's mobility unit, is deploying charging stations along major traffic corridors in the Philippines through partnerships with Basic Energy Corporation and Grab Philippines. The infrastructure supports electric buses, taxis and ride-hailing vehicles, including fleets under the Iwas Taas Pamasahe Transport Solutions Program, which offers operators zero upfront costs and full ownership after five years. A charging hub is opening at the Total station on the northbound South Luzon Expressway, serving both public transit and private vehicles.
Why it matters: The dual-use charging hubs address a critical gap in public transport electrification by combining fleet-dedicated infrastructure with commercial access, potentially improving utilisation rates and revenue for CPOs. The zero-cost, five-year ownership model for bus operators may accelerate fleet conversion and create predictable anchor demand for charging networks along high-traffic routes.
