Melbourne apartment block becomes Australia's largest EV-enabled building with 252 charge points

Sierra Hawthorn, a 241-apartment building in Melbourne, launched on 18 March 2026 with 252 electric vehicle charge points supplied by NOX Energy, making it Australia's largest EV-enabled building. Each residential apartment has a dedicated 10A/2.4kW charge point in its parking space, while five commercial tenancies share 10 Intelligent Power Sockets and one 22kW MSI charger. The NOX Energy system uses smart load management to distribute power across the building without major infrastructure upgrades, with usage-based billing managed through the NOX Energy platform.
