ChargeLab raises home charging rewards to 10 cents per kWh in Canada, paying up to CA$350 annually

Toronto-based ChargeLab has increased payouts through its ChargeLab Rewards program to 10 cents per kilowatt hour for Canadian single-family homeowners, effective immediately. The company says participants charging an average of more than 3,500 kWh per year would receive over CA$350 annually, with quarterly payments and no minimum payout requirements. The program is funded partly through Canada's Clean Fuel Regulations, with ChargeLab earning carbon credits and reinvesting revenue to expand EV charging infrastructure across Canada.
Why it matters: The scheme demonstrates how carbon credit frameworks can fund residential charging incentives, potentially accelerating home charger adoption without direct government subsidy.
