ChargePoint launches Express Solo charger, delivering up to 750 kW to a single port when two units are paired
By Eve
ChargePoint announced the Express Solo, developed with Eaton, which combines the charger and power conversion equipment in one enclosure and removes the need for a large separate power cabinet. It comes in 200 kW, 400 kW and 600 kW configurations delivering up to 800 amps, and at least two connected stations are needed to reach 750 kW at one port, with power shared across up to four vehicles. The company calls it the most powerful standalone charger in the U.S., and says solar and battery storage integration could cut operating costs and reliance on expensive grid power.
Why it matters
The all-in-one design reduces wiring and groundwork, and ChargePoint says operators can add plugs without buying another complete charger, which could change site cost and expansion planning. Note that the 750 kW peak depends on pairing units and on few other vehicles being connected, so buyers should model realistic shared-power sessions rather than the headline figure.

ChargePoint opens three tier reseller partner programme across UK and Europe
ChargePoint has launched a channel partner programme for resellers in the UK, France, and the DACH, Benelux and Nordic regions, offering hardware discounts, financial incentives, deal protection, marketing resources and technical training. The programme operates in three tiers (bronze, silver and gold) based on annual performance and completion of training, with increasing discounts on charging hardware, software subscriptions and performance based rebates. Silver and gold partners can pursue joint marketing initiatives and access ChargePoint's consultancy and sales resources through a web portal.
Why it matters
The structured reseller programme expands ChargePoint's route to market in Europe, creating new procurement pathways for commercial customers through certified local partners. Tiered incentives and deal protection mechanisms may accelerate deployment by enabling smaller installers to compete for contracts with manufacturer backing.
Solar powered EV charging in Andhra Pradesh still at an early stage despite favourable conditions
A report on Nellore says Andhra Pradesh has abundant sunshine, a growing renewable energy ecosystem and rising interest in electric mobility, but solar powered charging remains nascent. Stations use rooftop or ground mounted solar panels with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to smooth fluctuations, drawing from the grid only when necessary. The article notes that public charging infrastructure in the state remains sporadic despite growing EV sales and strong government backing, and that Convergence Energy Services Ltd. (CESL), a subsidiary of Energy Efficiency Services Ltd. (EESL), was the first to deploy an integrated solar powered charging station in India.
Why it matters
Lower electricity costs at solar and BESS equipped sites could let charge point operators pass savings on to drivers, which makes Andhra Pradesh a potential market for integrated solar plus storage charging projects. The patchy public network, particularly for intercity travel, points to unmet demand for developers and funders.
Los Alamos County to open new DC fast charging stations at Mesa Public Library with ribbon cutting on 2 November
Los Alamos County has invited the community to a ribbon cutting ceremony on 2 November marking the opening of new Direct Current (DC) fast charging stations in the Mesa Public Library parking lot. The project was funded in part by the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT). County Sustainability Manager Angelica V. Gurule described the stations as a step toward expanding public EV charging infrastructure and supporting more sustainable transport in the community.
Why it matters
This is another example of state transport funding supporting municipal DC fast charging at public civic sites, a route that can open opportunities for CPOs and installers working with local authorities. The announcement gives no figures on charger count, power output or funding value, so those details would need to be confirmed directly.
