ChargePoint to deploy ultra fast chargers at twelve travel plazas in Pennsylvania and New York

ChargePoint has partnered with travel plaza and truck stop operator Onvo to install ultra fast EV chargers at twelve locations across Pennsylvania and New York. The sites will feature ChargePoint Express Plus chargers positioned near major highways to serve long distance drivers and address gaps in fast charging infrastructure. The deployment follows recent ChargePoint deals including a southeastern US rollout of more than 200 chargers with Optimus Energy Solutions.
Why it matters: The partnership targets a critical gap in highway corridor charging infrastructure, offering CPOs a model for high traffic travel plaza deployments. ChargePoint's Express Plus systems enable simultaneous charging from single units, a key consideration for site operators managing space and power constraints at highway rest stops.
