Denver Public Schools installs 650 kW Kempower charging system for 28 electric school buses

Denver Public Schools has deployed a Kempower distributed charging system at its Hilltop Bus Terminal to support a fleet of 28 electric school buses, including 25 newly added Blue Bird Vision models. The installation, led by electrical solutions provider Winn-Marion, comprises 650 kilowatts of total power delivered through 13 dual-port Kempower Satellite dispensers, providing 26 charging plugs with dynamic power distribution. PowerFlex (formerly The Mobility House) supplied smart charging and energy management technology for the project, announced in August 2026.
