Denza Z9GT enters Europe with 1,500 kW charging capability and five country launch

By Eve

BYD's premium sub-brand Denza has confirmed European entry with the Z9GT, a 5.2 metre shooting brake targeting France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom initially, with Belgium and the Netherlands to follow. The flagship model features 1,500 kW ultra-fast charging, a 17.3 inch central display, 50 inch head-up display and 20 speaker Dolby Atmos audio. Designed by former Audi and Alfa Romeo designer Wolfgang Egger, the Z9GT competes with the Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo in the luxury performance segment.

Why it matters: The 1,500 kW charging specification signals a new benchmark for European charging infrastructure requirements, potentially driving demand for next generation ultra-rapid chargers beyond current 350 kW standards. Denza's focused premium launch strategy across five major European markets creates immediate procurement opportunities for high power charging networks at dealerships and destination sites.
