Driivz and WEX integrate charging and payment platforms for electric fleet operators
By Eve
EV charging software provider Driivz has partnered with commerce platform WEX to integrate their charging and payment systems using the Open Charge Point Interface (OCPI). The integration allows fleet drivers to access public charging infrastructure managed by Driivz through the WEX DriverDash mobile app or WEX RFID card, and enables booking of charging sessions at WEX network locations. The platform supports billing for public charging sessions directly to fleet operators and reimbursement for home charging of take home fleet vehicles.
Why it matters: The partnership addresses a key operational challenge for medium to heavy duty electric fleets by standardising access and payment across different charging networks. For CPOs and fleet procurement teams, the OCPI based integration offers a model for interoperable billing that could reduce administrative friction and expand usable charging infrastructure for commercial operators.
