EnergyAustralia deploys 400kW chargers at 7-Eleven sites across three Australian states

By Eve

EnergyAustralia has begun installing ultra-fast EV chargers at 7-Eleven convenience stores in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, with 10 sites planned over two years. The first site at Roxburgh Park, Victoria, is now operational with either 200kW or 400kW chargers enabling 20% to 80% charging in approximately 12 to 15 minutes. The rollout includes three Victorian sites by end 2026, four in New South Wales and three in Queensland through 2027 and 2028, accessible via the Chargefox network or tap and go payment.

Why it matters: The partnership demonstrates how fuel retailers are integrating high power charging into existing forecourt networks, offering CPOs a proven convenience store model for site acquisition. The phased multi state rollout and dual payment options provide a template for scaling ultra-fast infrastructure across dispersed geographies.
