Public charging infrastructure in the United States and Canada has grown to nearly 96,000 locations with over 294,000 ports, including more than 18,000 DC fast charging sites offering almost 84,000 ports. EV market share in the US has stabilised at five to six percent of sales in 2026 after federal tax incentives ended in late 2025, while several models now retail in the low to mid $30,000s with 200 to 300 miles of range. The figures were reported in an industry overview examining the maturation of the EV charging sector.
