Pacific Paradise service station plan includes rapid EV charging and future hydrogen provision

A development application has been lodged for a 24 hour service station at 551 David Low Way, Pacific Paradise on Australia's Sunshine Coast, featuring rapid EV charging, truck refuelling, and rest facilities. The developer, Christopher Ferraro of Primo Property, said the facility would occupy 1.24 per cent of a 30 hectare site, with solar power generating about 85 per cent of its energy needs and provision for future hydrogen refuelling. The proposal has been refined with the fast food component removed and the development footprint reduced by almost 70 per cent following earlier concerns.
Why it matters: The application signals private investment in multi modal refuelling infrastructure on a strategic corridor between Sunshine Coast Airport and Maroochydore CBD, with the developer explicitly planning for hydrogen alongside rapid EV charging.
