The state energy department is partnering with private firms, highways authorities and Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited to install solar enabled fast charging stations along highways and public sites. Officials plan a second solar enabled charging unit near the airport with 45 to 50 kW capacity, designed to fully charge 30 to 90 kWh batteries within 30 minutes using DC charging.
