Exicom launches India's first liquid-cooled EV charger power modules in Hyderabad

Exicom Tele-Systems has begun manufacturing liquid-cooled AC and DC power modules at its Hyderabad facility, initially supplying Tritium's DC-FLEX and TRI-FLEX ultra-fast chargers for North American and European markets. The liquid-cooled design keeps components around 10°C cooler than air-cooled systems and offers sealed protection against moisture, dust and salt air. Exicom plans to incorporate the technology into its domestic charging solutions after the initial export run.
Why it matters: This marks the first Indian production of liquid-cooled power electronics for EV chargers, addressing thermal stress that causes almost 60% of power electronics failures and can double component failure rates with a 10°C to 15°C temperature rise. The capability positions Exicom as a potential supplier for high-power charging projects in hot climates and signals India's entry into advanced thermal management for charging infrastructure.
