Pilot adds 50 EV charging sites across 25 US states in first half of 2026

Pilot Company installed 50 electric vehicle charging sites across 25 states during the first six months of 2026, expanding its coast to coast EV programme to a presence in 40 states, according to Scott Hundley, director of light duty EV and infrastructure at Pilot. The announcement comes as new electric car sales in the US are expected to slow in 2026, with EVs making up 10% of cars on the road in 2025 according to International Energy Agency data, while some convenience store and travel centre operators have pulled back on charging rollouts.
