Hyundai Motor India links 30,000 charging points via app, plans 600 owned stations by 2030

By Eve

Hyundai Motor India has integrated access to more than 30,000 charging points nationwide through its myHyundai app, partnering with multiple charge point operators to offer brand agnostic booking and payment. The company currently operates 183 DC fast charging stations (60 kW to 240 kW) across 105 cities and aims to expand its proprietary network to 600 stations by 2030, targeting strategic urban sites, highways and dealerships. The network covers major corridors including Delhi to Jaipur, Mumbai to Bengaluru and Chennai to Bengaluru, with charging available within an average 25 km radius.

Why it matters: The 30,000 point aggregation demonstrates how OEM apps are becoming procurement channels for independent CPOs, while Hyundai's plan to triple its owned estate to 600 stations by 2030 signals sustained capex in India's public charging market. The brand agnostic access model may pressure other networks to join aggregation platforms or risk losing utilisation to integrated ecosystems.
