Hyundai Motor Group signs Oman MoU for hydrogen buses and 240 kilowatt EV chargers

Hyundai Motor Group signed a memorandum of understanding on 3 September with Oman's Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology and energy distributor OOMCO to deploy hydrogen fuel cell buses and ultrafast charging infrastructure. State transport operator Mwasalat will trial Hyundai's ELEC CITY hydrogen bus on a designated Green Route in Muscat, while OOMCO subsidiary EVO will operate Hyundai Kefico's 240 kilowatt ultrafast chargers at a petrol station in the Halban area. The agreement, announced on 7 September, targets public transport and services initially before expanding to commercial and passenger vehicles.
