Hyundai Motor India partners with Jio-bp to integrate 7,000 charging sites into myHyundai app

Hyundai Motor India Limited has partnered with Jio-bp, the joint venture between Reliance Industries and BP Mobility, to integrate 7,000 Jio-bp charging stations into the myHyundai app. The integration brings the app's total network to over 37,000 chargepoints across India, while HMIL's 183 existing DC fast chargers will be added to Jio-bp's pulse charge pro app. HMIL plans to scale its own charging infrastructure from 183 to 600 stations by 2030.
Why it matters: The partnership consolidates access to one of India's largest charging networks, with Jio-bp operating DC fast chargers from 60kW to 480kW at 96% uptime along national highways. For procurement teams and CPOs, the deal signals growing interoperability between OEM apps and third party networks, potentially shaping future tender requirements for app integration and roaming capabilities in the Indian market.
