InstaVolt deploys battery storage across UK network of 4,250 chargers to cut costs and store solar power

InstaVolt has integrated Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) into its UK rapid charging network, which now spans more than 4,250 chargers across over 1,200 sites. The operator's Winchester Superhub already offers charging at 70p per kWh, or 65p per kWh for app users, enabled by stored renewable energy. InstaVolt also runs an off peak tariff of 55p per kWh between 8pm and 7am for app users.
