JNPA signs CESL agreement for EV charging and battery swapping at five port parking sites

Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority has signed an agreement with Convergence Energy Services Limited to develop public EV charging and battery swapping stations at five parking locations within the Mumbai port. The facilities will support electric tractor-trailers, buses, cars, three-wheelers and two-wheelers operating within and around the port ecosystem.

Why it matters: The rollout demonstrates how major logistics hubs are procuring multi-vehicle charging infrastructure to decarbonise freight and port operations.
