Kempower wins framework deal to supply DC fast chargers across DP World's Canadian port terminals

Finnish EVSE maker Kempower has signed a framework agreement with global logistics operator DP World to provide charging infrastructure and services at all DP World terminals in Canada. The first phase covers 46 Kempower satellites delivering 4.4 megawatts across the Vancouver, Fraser Surrey and Prince Rupert sites, supporting electrification of service vehicles and container handling equipment. DP World operates five Canadian terminals today, with a sixth under construction at Montreal's Contrecoeur site due for commissioning by 2030.
Why it matters: The multi site framework standardises charging hardware for one of the world's largest port operators in Canada, signalling fleet electrification at scale in heavy duty logistics. Kempower's existing 2024 deployment at DP World's London Gateway hub likely informed the Canadian rollout, offering a repeatable template for port electrification procurement.
