Kapsch calls for dual charging options as UK confirms overseas mileage will count under EV tax

His comments follow ministerial confirmation that UK registered electric vehicles will be charged for overseas mileage under the forthcoming Electric Vehicle Excise Duty framework. The Government stated that excluding overseas driving, which accounts for about 2% of total UK car mileage, would require mandatory location data collection and raise privacy concerns.
