MAN invests €1 billion in Kraków plant to launch electric truck production from July

MAN Truck & Bus is investing €1 billion in its Kraków facility in Poland to expand capacity and prepare for the next generation of trucks under the TRATON Modular System. The plant will become MAN's second electric truck production site, with series production of the eTGL starting mid July 2025 and the eTGM following later this year. The investment includes new body shop, paint shop and cab production facilities, with Kraków joining Munich in manufacturing MAN's electric truck range covering 12 to 50 tonnes gross vehicle weight.
Why it matters: The €1 billion expansion signals major European manufacturing capacity for medium and light duty electric trucks, creating a second production hub that will supply fleet operators and municipal buyers across the 12 to 50 tonne segment. Procurement teams planning electric fleet transitions can expect improved availability and shorter lead times for MAN's eTGL and eTGM models from the second half of 2025.
