Massachusetts utilities add V2G EVs to 800MW demand flexibility programme

Eversource and National Grid are integrating vehicle to grid capable EVs into their ConnectedSolutions demand flexibility programme in Massachusetts, working with EnergyHub, Sunrun's grid services arm, and The Mobility House. The programme currently orchestrates more than 280,000 distributed energy resources and over 800MW of flexible capacity across five US states, using thermostats, battery storage, and commercial and industrial resources to reduce grid strain. Customers with qualifying V2G devices will receive incentives for adjusting usage patterns during peak demand periods.
