MFG EV Power passes 1,450 ultra-rapid chargers, claims over 10% of UK rapid infrastructure

Motor Fuel Group has announced that its EV Power network now comprises more than 1,450 ultra-rapid chargers following the addition of 243 bays across 39 sites in 2026 to date, marking World EV Day. The forecourt operator states its network accounts for over 10% of the UK's rapid charging infrastructure and has powered an estimated 250 million electric miles this year. MFG is investing over £400 million in EV charging and targets more than 3,000 ultra-rapid chargers across 500 sites by 2030.
Why it matters: The rollout pace of 243 bays across 39 sites in part of a single year signals sustained capital deployment in ultra-rapid hardware, relevant for equipment suppliers and site developers tracking large-scale forecourt electrification. MFG's claim to over 10% of UK rapid infrastructure and its £400 million-plus investment programme underscore the competitive landscape for charge point operators bidding for high-traffic locations.
