StarCharge Energy Pakistan has signed a memorandum of understanding with Bahum Global Ltd of China to establish EV charging stations across Pakistan, with the Chinese firm providing technological support and partnering on local manufacturing. The agreement, announced in Islamabad, is described as the first major deal to strengthen Pakistan's EV ecosystem through international collaboration and technology transfer. Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Haroon Akhtar Khan said the government is promoting local lithium-ion battery manufacturing and preparing a Battery Energy Storage System Policy to attract foreign investment.
