NCRTC opens 14-point ultra-fast charging hub at New Ashok Nagar station in Delhi

By Eve

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation has commissioned a high-capacity EV charging station at New Ashok Nagar Namo Bharat Station in Delhi, operational since 17 July. The facility features 14 digital charging points, comprising seven 240 kW chargers, four 360 kW ultra-fast chargers, and three 480 kW ultra-fast chargers designed for heavy-duty vehicles including electric buses. NCRTC describes it as among the largest public ultra-fast EV charging stations in Delhi, bringing the total along the Namo Bharat corridor to nine stations.

Why it matters: The deployment of 480 kW chargers signals growing infrastructure readiness for commercial fleet electrification, particularly buses, in India's capital region. Integration with transit hubs and mobile app access demonstrates a model for multi-modal charging procurement that CPOs and fleet operators can replicate across urban networks.
