BMW confirms i3 Touring estate with 559 mile range as part of Neue Klasse EV platform

BMW has unveiled the i3 Touring estate variant alongside the saloon, both offering a 559 mile range from a 108kWh nickel manganese cobalt battery and dual electric motors. The i3 and iX3 SUV are the first models under BMW's Neue Klasse platform, a complete redesign for the electric era. BMW Group chief Oliver Zipse said the Touring will appeal to business customers and families, though boot capacity has not yet been published.
