Australian logistics firm New Energy Transport will deploy six mobile ultra-fast charging units along NSW freight corridors by end 2026, each pairing a 640kW dual-dispenser charger with a 125kWh battery storage system. The skid-mounted units will support 20 electric prime movers covering up to 10,000km per day across Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong and Canberra routes. NET positions the rollout as a response to diesel price volatility, with Australian diesel exceeding AU$3 per litre in April 2026 following Strait of Hormuz disruption.
