Greater Noida opens EV charging plaza with 120 kW fast chargers for buses and private vehicles

Noida Power Company Limited (NPCL) and Servotech have inaugurated an EV charging plaza in Tilpata, Greater Noida, featuring two charging points with four guns offering 120 kW and 60 kW fast charging. The facility can charge up to four electric buses simultaneously and fully charge two wheelers in 45 to 60 minutes, with slow charging for two and three wheelers also available. NPCL is expanding charging access into residential and commercial areas, with plans to install stations within residential societies.
Why it matters: The plaza demonstrates how distribution companies are partnering with infrastructure firms to deploy high capacity charging for commercial fleets alongside consumer vehicles, a model that could inform procurement strategies for mixed use sites. The planned expansion into residential societies signals growing opportunities for CPOs to secure contracts in India's housing and industrial sectors.
