Li Auto i6 achieves 811 km real world range with 96 kWh battery and 5C charging
By Eve
Li Auto's new i6 electric MPV achieved 811 km (504 miles) on a single charge in a livestreamed drive, exceeding its CLTC rated 780 km range, using 11.8 kWh per 100 km from a 96 kWh battery. The vehicle uses in house Lian Shan batteries manufactured with CALB and Sunwoda, replacing CATL cells and adding 3 kWh capacity, with 5C charging capability and revised SiC power modules that add 30 km of winter range. Li Auto pledges the batteries will never self ignite or combust in collisions, offering a free replacement car if they do.
Why it matters
The 5C charging capability and high energy density design signal infrastructure requirements for ultra fast charging networks in China, where Li Auto plans to roll out the Lian Shan battery across its lineup. The shift to in house battery production and safety guarantees may influence procurement specifications for charging operators serving premium EV segments.

Rising finance costs and material expenses highlight margin pressures that may influence procurement timelines and infrastructure investment decisions for operators and CPOs supporting electric bus fleets.
Jakson Green E-Mobility wins 220 electric bus contract across three Gujarat cities
Jakson Green E-Mobility has secured a tender from Convergence Energy Services to deploy 220 electric buses in Gujarat under the PM-eBus Sewa Programme. The 12 year Gross Cost Contract covers 120 buses in Vadodara, 80 in Gandhidham and 20 in Navsari, with the company responsible for procurement, operation, maintenance and charging infrastructure development. This marks the firm's first major public transport fleet win within its first year of e-mobility operations.
Why it matters
The contract demonstrates how central government schemes are channelling fleet electrification opportunities to newer entrants in India's bus market. Operators and charging providers should note the bundled infrastructure requirement, which ties depot charging build out to the 12 year service period across multiple municipal sites.
