Nottingham City Transport electric buses pass 5 million kilometres in two years

Nottingham City Transport has logged 5 million kilometres with its electric bus fleet since April 2024, completing a 62 vehicle single deck rollout in December 2025. The project drew £12.3 million from the Department for Transport's ZEBRA scheme and £17.7 million from NCT. A further 19 electric double deckers, 13 Yutong and 6 Wrightbus units, are on order with East Midlands Combined County Authority backing for late 2026 entry.
