Osprey rolls out automatic charging and dynamic pricing across UK network
By Eve
Osprey Charging has launched Osprey Go, introducing automatic authentication and dynamic pricing across its UK network, making it the largest public EV charging network in the country to offer seamless Autocharge technology. The feature, developed in house via Osprey's proprietary Iris software platform, allows drivers to plug in without tapping a card or opening the app, with the best available price for that location and time applied automatically. Dynamic pricing is being extended across the network this month, with lower rates available outside peak periods to benefit drivers without home charging access.
Why it matters: The rollout demonstrates how proprietary software platforms can differentiate CPO offerings through user experience improvements and pricing flexibility. Automatic authentication and time of use pricing may influence site utilisation patterns and revenue optimisation strategies for operators managing high traffic locations.
