PEI Mobility wins bellows supply contract for up to 45 Iveco electric articulated buses in Limoges

By Eve

PEI Mobility will supply gangway bellows for up to 45 articulated battery-electric buses ordered by Limoges Métropole in France, following a framework agreement awarded to Iveco Bus and Dalkia Electrotechnics for between 20 and 45 vehicles plus associated charging infrastructure. The selected vehicle is the Iveco GX 437 Elec Linium, an 18-metre battery-electric bus. PEI Mobility, which has sold more than 14,000 bus bellows units over the past 20 years, will manufacture the bellows for the Limoges project.

Why it matters: The contract highlights the supply chain opportunities emerging from French municipal electric bus procurements, with specialist component suppliers like PEI Mobility securing work alongside vehicle OEMs and charging infrastructure providers. The framework structure, allowing for 20 to 45 units, reflects the flexible procurement approach increasingly used by European transit authorities to scale electric fleet deployments.
