Delhi subsidy uncertainty pushes CESL Phase II e-bus tender deadline to 9 April

Convergence Energy Service Ltd has extended the bid deadline for 6,230 electric buses under PM E-DRIVE Phase II from 10 March to 9 April after bidders requested clarity on subsidy availability for Delhi's 3,330 buses. The tender covers five cities (Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad) under a Gross Cost Contract model, with bidders responsible for supply, maintenance and infrastructure. PM E-DRIVE allocates 4,391 crore rupees for 14,028 e-buses across seven cities, with Phase I's 10,900 buses already tendered.
