Public charging networks now part of fleet planning as NRMA monitors 150 Australian sites

Public charging is shifting from a backup option to a core planning element for fleet electrification, according to NRMA's EV Infrastructure Delivery team. The organisation now operates more than 150 active charging sites across Australia, using data from metro and regional locations to track peak demand patterns, including holiday surges at regional sites and commuting peaks in urban areas. Fleet managers are being advised to integrate public charging alongside depot and home charging to support regional travel, overflow demand and field workers.
