New York City DOT proposes seven curbside EV chargers for Upper West Side as part of 700 station rollout

The NYC Department of Transportation has proposed seven new curbside Level 2 EV charging locations on the Upper West Side, adding to three existing stations installed in 2021. The expansion forms part of a city-wide plan announced in August to grow the network from 88 curbside charging points to nearly 700 over the next three years, contracted in partnership with ConEdison. Each station will feature two plugs delivering up to 20 miles of range per hour, with public consultation open until the end of September.
