SFC Energy reports EUR 132.8 million sales and EUR 33.7 million adjusted EBITDA for the first nine months of 2026, raises guidance again

By Eve

SFC Energy published preliminary figures showing sales of EUR 132.8 million for the first nine months of 2026, with adjusted EBITDA of EUR 33.7 million. The company describes the period as continued, profitable growth. It has raised its earnings guidance for full year 2026 for a further time.

Why it matters

A supplier that keeps raising earnings guidance is showing financial momentum, which is a useful signal when assessing counterparty strength in power equipment supply. Buyers should note that the figures are preliminary and the input gives no detail on charging specific demand.

Network innovation has delivered more than £263m in financial benefits since the start of RIIO-2, says ENA

The Energy Networks Association's latest Annual Innovation Summary report says innovation projects across Great Britain's electricity networks have delivered more than £263m in financial benefits since the beginning of RIIO-2. It was published alongside the Energy Innovation Summit in Glasgow and covers projects now deployed in business-as-usual operations. Examples include Northern Powergrid's Artificial Forecasting project, which uses AI to identify available network capacity and reduce reinforcement costs, and SP Energy Networks' VEST Enhancement Project, which uses data and mapping tools to identify barriers such as no off-street parking for a charge point.

Why it matters

Better identification of spare network capacity and lower reinforcement costs could ease and speed up grid connections for charge point projects. CPOs and procurement teams should watch how these tools reach business-as-usual practice at their local distribution network operators.

Brunswick Exploration reports 1.73% Li2O over 302 metres at its Anatacau Main lithium project

Brunswick Exploration reported a drill intercept of 1.73% Li2O over 302 metres, including 142 metres at 1.97% Li2O, at the Anatacau Main project, according to a BRWXF Stock News listing. The company says the Anais dyke remains open in all directions and that it is preparing an exploration campaign to restart drilling. The excerpt gives no resource estimate, project timeline or offtake details.

Why it matters

Lithium supply is a long-run input to battery cost and availability, which feeds into charging hardware and vehicle demand, but this is an early-stage exploration result with no production commitment. Procurement and CPO teams should treat it as background market context rather than a near-term supply signal.

India's Cabinet approves ₹14,500 crore viability gap funding scheme for grid-scale energy storage

The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved a ₹14,500 crore Viability Gap Funding scheme running from FY27 to FY31, backing 92 GWh of storage capacity not yet commissioned. The plan covers 60 GWh of hydro pumped storage, 30 GWh of battery energy storage and 2 GWh of alternative technologies, with total investment estimated at ₹97,600 crore. Capacity will be allocated through tariff-based competitive bidding, and the Cabinet also cleared a ₹2,814 crore capex support scheme for critical mineral processing.

Why it matters

A funded, competitively bid storage pipeline with eligibility for public and private distribution companies opens a sizeable procurement channel for battery and storage suppliers and developers. The government's estimated need of 411 GWh by 2031 to 2032 signals sustained demand, while the critical minerals support may ease longer-term battery supply chain pressures.
