InstaVolt seeks permission for six more rapid chargers at Chirk McDonald's, bringing site total to eight

InstaVolt has applied to Wrexham Council to install six additional rapid EV chargers at the McDonald's car park in Chirk, which would increase the site from two to eight rapid charging bays. The scheme includes two PAS 1899 compliant accessible bays, replacement of the two existing chargers with BYD 160kW units, a Schneider 1250A 8-way feeder pillar, and a SP Energy Networks substation. The works would convert nine standard parking bays and result in the loss of 83 square metres of mixed scrub and grassland.
