Tata Power installs 240 kW ultra-fast chargers at two sites on Delhi to Mumbai Expressway with Indian Oil

By Eve

Tata Power EV Charging Solutions has partnered with Indian Oil Corporation to deploy ultra-fast charging stations at the 63 and 69 kilometre milestones on the Haryana stretch of the Delhi to Mumbai Expressway. The 63 Milestone site features a 240 kW station with four charging guns for Delhi-bound traffic, while the 69 Milestone serves the opposite carriageway. The 1,350 kilometre expressway connects major economic regions across India.

Why it matters: The deployment demonstrates how India's state-backed fuel retailer and private power utility are co-locating high-power charging on strategic long-distance corridors, a model that could accelerate highway electrification. Bidirectional coverage at adjacent milestones addresses range anxiety for commercial and private EV operators using the route.
