TE Connectivity acquires Phoenix Contact charging inlets business for OEM supply

TE Connectivity has completed an asset purchase of Phoenix Contact E-Mobility's charging inlets business, acquiring the vehicle-side charging sockets used in electric vehicles. Phoenix Contact will retain its charging cables and plugs but is withdrawing from the automotive sector entirely. TE Connectivity, headquartered in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, says the deal strengthens its ability to serve global automotive OEMs and expand its commercial presence in Europe and other key markets, though financial terms were not disclosed.
